Where to Eat Around Lumphini Park
A local guide to where to eat around Lumphini Park, from two-star tables on Soi Langsuan to royal Thai by Sala Daeng, with modern French Bisou at the heart of it.
Lumphini Park is the green heart of Pathum Wan, the district at the very centre of Bangkok, and the streets that ring it hold some of the city's finest tables. Within a short walk or a quick ride of the park you can sit down to two MICHELIN-starred kitchens, royal Thai in a restored pre-war mansion, an all-day brunch in an old wooden house, and, on Soi Langsuan, Bisou, our own modern French dining room. Here is where to eat all the way around Lumphini Park, with the nearest train for each, starting on our own doorstep.
On Soi Langsuan, the park's northwest edge
Soi Langsuan runs north off the park's northwest corner, and it has quietly become one of the best dining streets in Bangkok, more than forty kitchens packed into one leafy lane. It is where you will find us: Bisou, a modern French restaurant built to share and listed in the MICHELIN Guide 2026, a few steps from the green. A little further along the same street, INDDEE fills a century-old house with modern Indian cooking that was elevated to two MICHELIN stars in the 2026 guide, one of the most exciting kitchens in the city right now. And when the morning after calls for something gentler, Baan Langsuan lays out homestyle Thai breakfasts and all-day comfort food in a restored wooden house, the kind of long, unhurried brunch the park was made for. Nearest train: BTS Ratchadamri or Chit Lom.
West, along Ratchadamri
Follow the park's western edge down Ratchadamri Road and you reach The St. Regis, home to IGNIV Bangkok, which has held one MICHELIN star every year since 2022. It runs on a format we happen to love: fine dining built entirely around sharing, a steady stream of small plates set down for the whole table. The sharing concept is the creation of Swiss chef Andreas Caminada, and it turns a starred dinner into something convivial rather than hushed, which feels exactly right for a night by the park. Nearest train: BTS Ratchadamri.
South, toward Sala Daeng
Cross to the park's southern, Silom-facing side and the mood turns to heritage Thai. Benjarong, the long-running Thai dining room of the Dusit Thani, now occupies Baan Dusit Thani, a pre-war mansion on Sala Daeng Road that reopened as a restaurant in 2019. Royal Thai cooking, teak and candlelight, about a ten-minute walk from the park: it is the most graceful way to eat Thai on this side of Lumphini. Nearest train: BTS Sala Daeng or MRT Silom.
Northeast, toward Ploenchit
On the park's northeast flank, where Witthayu meets Ploenchit, the Park Hyatt Bangkok rises out of Central Embassy. On its ninth floor, Embassy Room La Marina serves Southern Italian, coast-leaning seafood with a long view over the park's canopy, the polished, grown-up end of an evening on this corner of Lumphini. Nearest train: BTS Ploenchit.
And after dinner, the rooftops
Lumphini is ringed by some of the highest bars in Bangkok, and a nightcap at altitude lands differently after a proper dinner. Bar.Yard at the Kimpton Maa-Lai is a short walk up Soi Langsuan, and Spire crowns the reborn Dusit Thani on the park's south side. We mapped the whole climb in our guide to the best rooftop bars in Bangkok.
Start the evening at Bisou
Wherever you land around the park, the night is better with a proper dinner at its centre. At Bisou on Soi Langsuan, Chef Antoine Darquin's modern French menu is built for two pairs of hands: truffle French toast, a house Beef Wellington carved at the table, a seafood platter that turns a corner of the room into a conversation, with a cellar sommelier Théo Lavergne chose to match the plates and the mood. See the menu, book a table, and let dinner set the tone for the night.
