Still Cooking at Midnight: Where to Eat Late in Bangkok
The question after 11 PM is not what time a restaurant closes, it is what time the kitchen stops taking orders. Every time here comes from the venue's own published information, checked September 2026, and where a venue publishes no kitchen cut-off we say so.
In short
The fact that matters after 11 PM in Bangkok is the last food order, not the closing time. As of September 2026, Eat Me in Silom takes orders until 1 AM, Bisou on Soi Langsuan and El Gaucho on Sukhumvit Soi 19 until midnight, and a handful of Silom rooms run around the clock, starting with 25 Degrees at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G and A Ramen at Silom Edge. Meanwhile Above Eleven closes at 2 AM but stops serving food at 11:20 PM, and nobody in State Tower is cooking a dinner after 11:30 PM.
Reserve a tableThe question that matters after 11 PM in Bangkok is not what time a restaurant closes, it is what time its kitchen stops taking orders. As of September 2026, Eat Me in Silom takes food orders until 1 AM, Bisou on Soi Langsuan until midnight, El Gaucho on Sukhumvit Soi 19 until midnight, and a handful of rooms in Silom never stop at all, starting with 25 Degrees inside Pullman Bangkok Hotel G and A Ramen at Silom Edge. Almost every published guide to late-night Bangkok prints closing times instead, which is why people arrive at a lit dining room and a cold kitchen.
We serve dinner to a midnight last order seven nights a week, so we know exactly how that conversation goes at the door. Below, every time was read off the venue's own website, its own booking system or its own Google listing, and checked on 6 September 2026. Where a venue's own pages contradict each other, we print both figures rather than picking the convenient one, and where a venue publishes no kitchen cut-off at all, we say that instead of guessing.
The number that matters is the last food order
A Bangkok restaurant's closing time tells you when the lights go off, not when the kitchen stops. The gap between the two is routinely an hour and can be nearly three, and it is the single most common reason a late dinner goes wrong in this city.
Three examples from this guide, all published by the venues themselves. Above Eleven on Sukhumvit Soi 11 closes at 2 AM and takes its last food order at 11:20 PM, a gap of two hours and forty minutes. Sky Bar at lebua serves until 12:30 AM, but the last order it takes after 11:30 PM is bar snacks. Zuma at the St. Regis publishes dinner service to 1 AM, and 2 AM on Friday and Saturday, and publishes no kitchen cut-off anywhere at all.
So the useful sort order for a hungry reader at eleven o'clock is not by neighbourhood, price or cuisine. It is by the clock on the pass.
Who is still taking food orders after 11 PM in Bangkok
Twelve Bangkok rooms are worth crossing town for after 11 PM, and the table below puts them in order of how late the kitchen takes food orders. Every time below comes from the venue's own published information, checked 6 September 2026. Hours change quietly, so call if you are travelling across town for one of them.

| Ginger Farm Kitchen, Silom Edge | None. 24 hours on the brand's own page, 3 AM on its Google listing | Thai, all day | Silom, BTS Sala Daeng or MRT Si Lom |
| A Ramen | None. 24 hours at Marche Thonglor, Silom Edge and Samyan Mitrtown | Ramen, all day | Thonglor, Silom, Samyan |
| 25 Degrees | None. Open 24 hours, seven days | Burgers, all day | Silom, BTS Chong Nonsi or Sala Daeng |

| Breeze and Sirocco at lebua | 11:30 PM a la carte on lebua's FAQ, 11:00 PM on its own factsheet | No, snacks only after that, last order midnight | Silom riverside, BTS Saphan Taksin |
| Above Eleven | 11:20 PM, room open to 2 AM | Full menu, then it stops dead | Sukhumvit Soi 11, BTS Nana |
| Sky Bar at lebua | Midnight, snacks only | No | Silom riverside, BTS Saphan Taksin |

Where the full menu is still on after 11 PM
Beyond the rooms that never close, three kitchens at this level will still take a full dinner order at half past eleven: Eat Me, Bisou and El Gaucho. Charcoal Tandoor Grill runs its service to midnight but will not seat you after 11 PM, which makes it a fourth option only if you are already at the table. That is the honest length of the list.
Eat Me is the latest kitchen of the four and the only one where the last order and the closing time are the same number. Its own site prints it plainly: open every day 5 PM to 1 AM, last order kitchen and bar 1 AM. At 11:30 PM you are ordering from the same a la carte as a table that sat down at seven, including the Australian Wagyu tomahawk at THB 4,950 for a 1.6 to 1.8 kilogram piece, which the menu itself asks you to allow 45 to 60 minutes for. The room is up a one-way soi off Convent Road, about five minutes from BTS Sala Daeng, and its published reservation policy says walk-in guests are always welcome to come and check for availability. One quirk worth knowing: the restaurant answers its phone only between 4 PM and 6 PM, so book online rather than ringing at eleven.
El Gaucho on Sukhumvit Soi 19 publishes its hours as 11 AM to late, with a last order at midnight. It is the group's largest room, four floors around a glass meat showcase, seating 278 inside plus a terrace, which is also the only place in the building where you can smoke. At 11:30 PM you still have half an hour to order a steak, which is a rarer thing in this city than it sounds. BTS Asok or MRT Sukhumvit.
Charcoal Tandoor Grill & Mixology runs dinner from 6 PM to midnight, seven nights, on the fifth floor of Fraser Suites Sukhumvit, about 400 metres up Soi 11 and set back from the noise of the street-level bars. It publishes no last food order, but its own booking system will not seat you after 11 PM, which is the practical answer. The Coal Family Naan at THB 825++ is built to feed a whole table, and the menu ends with a paan list at THB 85 a leaf.
Bisou takes its last food order at midnight, from the full carte, and keeps the room open to 1 AM, two minutes from BTS Chit Lom. More on that below.
Where to eat 24 hours a day in Bangkok
If it is 2 AM and you want a table, a menu and air conditioning, Bangkok has a real answer, and most of it is in Silom: 25 Degrees at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, Ginger Farm Kitchen and A Ramen at Silom Edge, and Suki Teenoi at MBK Center. Three of the four are inside buildings that keep 24-hour zones by design.
- 25 Degrees, the burger and wine bar inside Pullman Bangkok Hotel G at 188 Silom Road, is open 24 hours a day, seven days. Both the hotel's own page and the operator's advertise it, and it runs a full 24-hour menu rather than a night list. Being inside a hotel also matters for the drinks rule below.
- Ginger Farm Kitchen at Silom Edge is the only 24-hour branch of the group in the city, on floor G of a building that connects by walkway to both BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Si Lom. The brand's own branch page says 24 hours. Its Google listing says it closes at 3 AM. That is the sort of contradiction worth a phone call before you cross town, and apart from the hotpot at Suki Teenoi it is the only Thai kitchen in this guide.
- A Ramen publishes branch-level hours on its own site, and most of its branches run 24 hours, including Marche Thonglor, Silom Edge and the 24-hour zone on floor 1 of Samyan Mitrtown. Check the branch you are heading to, because a few close overnight.
- Suki Teenoi at MBK Center is the cheapest genuinely late sit-down meal in central Bangkok, a Thai hotpot buffet at roughly THB 219 to 276 a head, with its branch listing showing a 5 AM close. The chain has no working official website, so hours are branch by branch and worth checking on the day.
One correction to a line every guide repeats. Chinatown does not necessarily eat until 2 AM any more. T&K Seafood on Phadung Dao Road, the most-cited late table in Yaowarat, now shows a midnight close on its Google listing while Tripadvisor and older guides still print 4 PM to 2 AM. Phone before you go.
Rooms that look open but have stopped cooking
Each of these is a room whose closing time is genuinely late and whose kitchen is not. None of this is a criticism of the venues, which publish their hours honestly. It is a criticism of guides that reprint the closing time and stop.
Above Eleven publishes it more clearly than anyone: last food order 11:20 PM, last drink order 1:45 AM, doors to 2 AM. It occupies the 32nd and 33rd floors of Fraser Suites Sukhumvit, a DJ plays nightly from 9 PM, and the door has a hard shoe rule, no sandals or flip-flops for men. Arrive at 11:30 PM and you have missed dinner by ten minutes.
The lebua tower needs reading carefully, because the operator's own pages disagree with each other. lebua's FAQ gives Breeze and Sirocco a set-menu last order of 11:00 PM, an a la carte last order of 11:30 PM and snacks to midnight, with the rooms open to 12:30 AM. lebua's own venue factsheet gives the same restaurants a flat 11:00 PM dinner cut-off. Either way, after 11:30 PM nobody in State Tower is cooking a dinner, and Sky Bar and Alfresco 64 upstairs are bar snacks with a midnight last order, a 12:15 AM last drink and a 12:30 AM close. Sky Bar takes no reservations at all, which makes it the reliable late walk-in of the group, as long as you have already eaten.
Zuma at the St. Regis on Ratchadamri publishes dinner running to 1 AM, and 2 AM on Friday and Saturday, on both its own site and Marriott's hotel page. Neither states a kitchen cut-off, and we could not find one anywhere. It is very probably the latest room of its calibre in the Ratchadamri and Langsuan cluster, and it is the one row in this guide where we would phone first rather than print a time we cannot source.
What the late-night guides get wrong
The pages that rank for this question are mostly algorithmic filters or years out of date, and none of the ones we read tells you when its hours were checked. We went through the top results for the obvious queries on 6 September 2026.
Time Out Bangkok's late-night guide is dated 28 August 2017, still ranks, and prints no hours at all. Tripadvisor's late-night page is an algorithmic filter rather than an article, so it carries no last orders, no prices and no check date. Elsewhere in the top results we found venues that shut in the afternoon sitting inside after-midnight lists, and the same restaurant given three different closing times on three different pages.
Not one of the pages we read states the date its hours were verified. That is why this one does, on every row.
Can you still order a drink after midnight?
In general no, not in a standalone restaurant. Since 29 May 2026, alcohol in Thailand may generally be sold between 11:00 and 24:00, and the old 2 PM to 5 PM afternoon ban is gone. Hotels, licensed entertainment venues, approved event spaces and international airport areas are exempt from the general hours, which is why a hotel bar can keep pouring when a standalone restaurant cannot.
That single rule explains a lot of the map above: 25 Degrees sits inside Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, Zuma sits inside the St. Regis, Above Eleven and Charcoal are inside Fraser Suites, and Breeze, Sirocco and Sky Bar are inside lebua. It also means the drinks answer and the food answer are two different questions. Ask a room for both when you book a late table, ours included.
A handful of Buddhist holy days each year carry a nationwide ban on alcohol sales for the full 24 hours. They move with the lunar calendar, so if the dinner matters, check the date before you book.
Getting home after the last train
Bangkok's trains stop before its kitchens do. The BTS publishes service hours of 05:00 to 01:00, which is not the same as the last train from your station, and the difference is the reason people end a good dinner arguing about a taxi.
From the operator's own timetable, read on 6 September 2026: the last train from Chit Lom leaves at 00:03 toward Kheha with a supplementary service at 00:16, and 23:58 toward Khu Khot with a supplementary at 00:13. From Sala Daeng, 00:07 toward Bang Wa, supplementary 00:20. From Asok, 00:09 with a supplementary at 00:21. From Nana, 00:07 and 00:20. The ticket offices shut at midnight, before the trains do, so carry a Rabbit card with value on it or buy your return card on the way in.
If your last order is at midnight, the train is a coin toss and the ride home is a car. Plan for that rather than discovering it on the platform.
What a kitchen can still cook at 11:45 PM
The menu narrows late, and the reason is time rather than willingness. Anything roasted, baked to order or carved for a table takes the same twenty to sixty minutes at 11:45 PM that it takes at eight, and the kitchen has to finish it before the pass closes.
Eat Me prints the honest version of this on its own menu, asking for 45 to 60 minutes on the wagyu tomahawk. The practical rules for a late table anywhere: order the long dish first rather than last, ask at the door whether the signature is still available before you sit down, and if a souffle or a whole roasted fish is the reason you came, say so when you book rather than when you order. A kitchen that knows at 9 PM that a midnight table wants a Wellington can plan for it. One that finds out at 11:50 cannot.
Bisou after eleven
Bisou serves dinner nightly from 5:30 PM to 1 AM, with the last food order at midnight, two minutes from BTS Chit Lom on Soi Langsuan. It is a modern French restaurant, plated to share, MICHELIN Selected in the Thailand 2025 and 2026 guides, where the inspectors' line reads: "Bisou delivers sexy simplicity through modern French cuisine, prioritising premium ingredients." The room is built for a late table rather than tolerating one.
The evening has a shape. From 5:30 to about 8 PM the room is calm and the conversation is easy. Later the music lifts, the bar becomes part of the night, and the tables that sit down at ten are usually the ones that stay longest. There is an upstairs terrace, a smoking corner downstairs, and complimentary valet parking, which after midnight is worth more than it sounds.
The menu at 11:30 PM is the menu, the whole carte until the last order at midnight: truffle French toast at THB 390, an oyster with uni and caviar at 450, wood-fired dry-aged wagyu rib-eye MB5 at 950 per 100 grams, a beef Wellington carved at the table at 2,990, Prunier caviar 30g with warm French toast at 2,990, a 72 percent chocolate souffle at 450. The one thing worth doing is telling us early: a Wellington, a salt-crust seabass or a souffle takes its own twenty to sixty minutes whatever the hour, so order it first rather than last. The five-course sharing menu is THB 3,400 per person, which is THB 4,002 once the 10 percent service charge and 7 percent VAT are added, and we wrote out that arithmetic in what a dinner actually costs in Bangkok.
Walk-ins are welcome when there is room, and Friday and Saturday are better booked. Coming just for a drink at the bar is fine. If the night is meant to keep going after us, the rooftop guide maps what is still open above the city, and the best party restaurants in Bangkok covers the rooms where dinner turns into a night out. Everything else about us is in our guide to Bisou, and the rest of the street is in where to eat on Soi Langsuan.
Last food order, midnight
Modern French, plated to share, two minutes from BTS Chit Lom. Dinner nightly 5:30 PM to 1 AM, valet parking, and a terrace upstairs.

What restaurants are open late in Bangkok?
For a proper sit-down dinner after 11 PM, the shortest honest list in central Bangkok is Eat Me in Silom, which takes food orders until 1 AM, Bisou on Soi Langsuan and El Gaucho on Sukhumvit Soi 19, both until midnight, and Charcoal Tandoor Grill on Soi 11, whose service runs to midnight though its booking system stops at 11 PM. For 24 hours, 25 Degrees at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, Ginger Farm Kitchen and A Ramen at Silom Edge. All checked September 2026.
What time do Bangkok kitchens stop taking food orders?
Later than most guides suggest in a handful of rooms, and much earlier than the closing time almost everywhere else. The published closing time is not the last order: Above Eleven closes at 2 AM and stops food at 11:20 PM, and after 11:30 PM nobody in lebua's State Tower is cooking a dinner. Always ask for the last food order rather than the closing time.
Where can you eat after midnight in Bangkok?
After midnight the field narrows to Eat Me, which takes orders until 1 AM, the 24-hour rooms in Silom (25 Degrees at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, Ginger Farm Kitchen and A Ramen at Silom Edge), A Ramen at Marche Thonglor, and Suki Teenoi at MBK Center, whose branch listing shows a 5 AM close. Chinatown's reputation for eating until 2 AM needs checking venue by venue: T&K Seafood's own listing now shows a midnight close.
Is anywhere in Bangkok open 24 hours for a proper meal?
Yes. 25 Degrees inside Pullman Bangkok Hotel G on Silom Road publishes 24-hour opening and a 24-hour menu. Ginger Farm Kitchen at Silom Edge is listed as 24 hours on the brand's own page, though its Google listing says 3 AM. A Ramen runs 24 hours at Marche Thonglor, Silom Edge and Samyan Mitrtown. Silom Edge and Samyan Mitrtown both operate designated 24-hour zones.
How late does the BTS run in Bangkok?
The BTS publishes service hours of 05:00 to 01:00, but the last trains leave earlier: 00:03 from Chit Lom toward Kheha with a supplementary train at 00:16, 00:07 from Sala Daeng toward Bang Wa, 00:09 from Asok, 00:07 from Nana, all from the operator's own timetable in September 2026. Ticket offices close at midnight, so carry a Rabbit card with value on it.
Can you still order a drink after midnight in Bangkok?
In general no. Since 29 May 2026, alcohol in Thailand may be sold between 11:00 and 24:00. Hotels, licensed entertainment venues, approved event spaces and international airport areas are exempt from those hours, which is why hotel restaurants and bars can keep serving when a standalone restaurant cannot.
Where can you eat late near BTS Chit Lom?
Bisou on Soi Langsuan is about two minutes from BTS Chit Lom and takes its last food order at midnight, with the room open to 1 AM. Two stops away at Ratchadamri, changing lines at Siam, Zuma at the St. Regis publishes dinner service to 1 AM, and 2 AM on Friday and Saturday, though it publishes no kitchen cut-off.
Do late-night restaurants in Bangkok take walk-ins?
Often, but not reliably on a Friday or Saturday. Eat Me states in its own reservation policy that walk-in guests are always welcome to check for availability. Sky Bar at lebua takes no reservations at all and is walk-in only. Bisou accepts walk-ins when there is room, and booking is better at the weekend. The 24-hour rooms in Silom rarely need a booking after midnight.
