What is Bisou Bangkok?
Bisou Bangkok is a modern French restaurant, opened in 2024 on Soi Langsuan by chef Antoine Darquin and sommelier Théo Lavergne, where the food is plated to share. Bisou means kiss in French, and the tagline is simple & sexy: French technique, premium seasonal and Japanese produce, a wood fire and dry-ageing, and a menu written for two pairs of hands rather than one.
The cooking is author's cuisine rather than a bistro repertoire: truffle French toast, a Prunier caviar service, a beef Wellington carved at the table, a whole seabass in salt crust flambéed in front of you, wood-fired dry-aged wagyu, a raw bar of otoro, Hokkaido scallop and oysters. The room is near-black, bordeaux and gilt, with a kiss wall behind the banquette, lip posters, a spiral staircase and a private room upstairs. Seventy-five seats, about seventy-five covers a night, no standing.
It is a restaurant first, but the evening has a shape: calmer at the early seating, then the music lifts, and by the end of service the bar is part of the night. There is always a quieter corner if you want one. Read more about the concept and the team.
Where is Bisou and how do I get there?
Bisou is at 68 Soi Langsuan 9, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, about a two-minute walk from BTS Chit Lom, beside Lumphini Park. Soi Langsuan runs from Ploenchit down to the park, and Bisou sits on Soi 9, a short way in from the main road.
From the Skytrain, Chit Lom is the closest station; Ratchadamri and Ploenchit are also within walking distance. By car, there is parking and complimentary valet for guests. If you are coming from Sukhumvit or Silom, a taxi to "Soi Langsuan 9" gets you to the door. Around us sit the other good tables of the street, which we mapped in Where to Eat on Soi Langsuan and Where to Eat Around Lumphini Park.
What does dinner at Bisou cost?
The five course signature sharing menu at Bisou Bangkok is 3,400 THB per person as printed, which becomes 4,002 THB per person on the bill once the 10 percent service charge and 7 percent VAT are added. Eating à la carte works out at about 3,000 THB per person before those additions, with plates from 150 THB on the raw bar to 2,990 THB for the signature dishes. Wine is separate.
Prices at this level in Bangkok are quoted before service and VAT, written ++ on most menus, and VAT is applied after the service charge, so the real addition is 17.7 percent. We wrote the whole arithmetic down, in baht, euros and dollars, in What a Dinner Actually Costs in Bangkok. The wood-fired wagyu is priced per 100 g (rib-eye MB5 950 THB, tomahawk MB5/6 590 THB, hanger with bone marrow 690 THB), so the table decides the size.
What should I order at Bisou?
At Bisou Bangkok, start with the truffle French toast (390 THB), share the beef Wellington carved at the table (2,990 THB) or the seabass in salt crust flambéed tableside (1,990 THB), and finish with the 72 percent chocolate soufflé (450 THB). That is the dinner most first-time tables build, and it is a good one. Prices are from our menu in August 2026 and change with the seasons; the live menu is always current.

Two things happen at the table that are worth ordering for: the Wellington is carved in front of you and the seabass is set alight, both nightly, which is why the Wellington opens our guide to tableside dining in Bangkok. And before any of it, every table gets a whole block of French butter from Les Frères Marchand with warm sourdough, a curl scooped off at the table; the butter comes first, always.
Who is behind Bisou?
Bisou was founded by chef Antoine Darquin and sommelier Théo Lavergne, and since 2026 the kitchen is run by head chef Freya Nowack, who joined from Côte by Mauro Colagreco, a two-MICHELIN-star restaurant. Antoine writes the menu and the ideas behind it; Théo built the wine list and the way the room drinks; Freya leads the line every night.
The room is run by Khun Bank, our restaurant manager, with a team that speaks French, English and Thai. Faces and roles are on the team page.
Is Bisou in the MICHELIN Guide?
Yes. Bisou Bangkok is MICHELIN Selected in both the 2025 and the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Thailand, listed and recommended by the inspectors but not starred. The inspectors write that "Bisou delivers sexy simplicity through modern French cuisine, prioritising premium ingredients."
Beyond MICHELIN, and as of August 2026:
- Best Date Night, Lifestyle Asia Best Bites Awards 2026, the inaugural edition, decided by more than 10,000 readers' votes across 194 nominated restaurants.
- Tatler Best Restaurants Thailand 2025: "a chic French gastro-wine bar... with a kiss of charm."
- Thailand's Best at Thailand's Favourite Restaurants by Koktail 2025, and a score of 85/100 in the Koktail Thailand Restaurant Guide 2026.
- Google: 4.9 stars across roughly 3,000 reviews (as of June 2026).
Every entry, with its source, is on our awards and reviews page, which we keep as the canonical record so nothing here is ever overstated.
What is the dress code at Bisou?
The dress code at Bisou Bangkok is smart casual. No flip-flops. Bangkok is hot and we are not formal, so a shirt or a nice top with trousers, a dress, good sandals or sneakers are all fine. A jacket is never required. The only thing we ask is to leave the beach at the beach.
Can I bring children to Bisou?
Yes, children are welcome at Bisou Bangkok: there is no minimum age and we have high chairs. Honest context, because it helps: the room was built for adults, the lights are low, and the music lifts as the evening goes on. A table with children is happiest at an early seating, when the room is at its calmest. Tell us the ages when you book and we will seat you in the right corner and keep the kitchen quick on the first plates.
Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?
Yes. Bisou Bangkok's menu carries plenty of vegetarian dishes, and vegan guests are welcome: the kitchen plates dedicated vegan dishes for them on request. Tell us when you book, or when you arrive, and Freya's team builds the plates around what you eat rather than handing you a list of removals. Allergies are handled the same way, by conversation at booking and again at the table.
How do I book, and can I walk in?
Reserve online at book.bistrochat.com/bisou-bangkok or call +66 96 025 5858. Walk-ins are welcome when we have a table, and we usually do early in the week; on Friday and Saturday, book. Dinner is served nightly from 5:30 PM to midnight, with the last food order at 11 PM.
A few details that answer the next question:
- The signature sharing menu is for two guests or more. Solo diners eat à la carte, happily, at the bar or a table.
- You can come just for a drink at the bar. The cocktail list and the wine list are both built for it.
- We speak French, English and Thai in the room.
- There is a terrace upstairs and a smoking corner downstairs.
- Note a birthday, an anniversary or an allergy when you book and the room is set before you arrive.
Can I celebrate a birthday or book a private event at Bisou?
Every celebrating table at Bisou Bangkok gets a birthday dessert plate at no charge, and you may bring your own cake, free: no cakeage, and we cut and serve it. "Happy Birthday" is piped in chocolate across the plate, with quenelles, edible flowers and a candle. There is no birthday discount in Bangkok; the offer is the ritual and the room. More in Birthday Dinner in Bangkok.
For a group, Bisou opens as a private room for 17, a second space for 45, or the whole house, each shaped to the party and the budget, with a menu built around the night. Details and the enquiry form are on private events, and the comparison with the other rooms near Chit Lom is in our private dining guide.
To give Bisou rather than book it, there are gift vouchers: from 3,000 to 40,000 THB in steps of 1,000, emailed as a printable PDF within seconds, valid for two years, and valid at Bisou Bangkok only.
Is there a Bisou in Phuket?
Yes. Bisou Phuket opened in 2025 at No.4 Bandon-Cherngtalay Road in Cherngtalay, a short drive from Laguna, Boat Avenue and Bang Tao Beach, with the same founders, head chef Manon Bares and a cocktail bar that runs to 1 AM. It is a sister restaurant with its own room, its own menu and its own site: everything to know before you book there is in the Bisou Phuket guide.
